Graycard Studio Booking & Paid Collaboration Waiver
Halloween Shoot — Terms & Conditions
Effective October 2026
Please read these terms before you book. Completing payment for a Halloween session means you agree to everything below. GRAYCARD LLC operates a photography studio at 2633 E 28th St #614, Signal Hill, CA 90755. A Halloween session is a paid booking in which you (the “Customer”) reserve the photographer, Varun Baskar, and the GRAYCARD studio for a photography session. Throughout these terms, the “Released Parties” means GRAYCARD LLC, Varun Baskar, and their owners, employees, agents, and representatives.
1.The Session
You are booking a paid Halloween photography session with the photographer and the studio for the date and time you select at checkout. The session fee covers the photographer’s time, the use of the studio and its set, and the delivery of final edited images as described in your booking. Anyone you bring to the session is your responsibility while on the premises.
2.Booking & Payment
Your session is reserved only once payment (or the required deposit) is received. Session fees are non-refundable; if you need to change your date, you may reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Please arrive on time — late arrivals may shorten the session, and the full fee still applies.
3.Image Copyright & Licensing
Copyright in all photographs and footage from the session remains with Varun Baskar (photographer) and GRAYCARD LLC at all times. Booking a session does not transfer copyright or ownership.
You receive a perpetual, personal-use license to the final delivered images — you may keep, print, share, and display them for your own personal enjoyment and on your personal social media, forever.
You may not sell, license, or otherwise use the images commercially, and you may not provide them to any other individual or organization for commercial use, without prior written permission from the photographer or GRAYCARD LLC.
4.Likeness & Content
Collaboration shoot — Varun Baskar is photographing/filming the Participant. The Participant consents to being photographed and/or filmed and grants GRAYCARD and Varun Baskar permission to use the resulting images and footage as follows:
(a) Portfolio, website, and social media of GRAYCARD and Varun Baskar, and submission to photo publications or competitions;
(b) Commercial or advertising use — only if separately agreed in writing;
(c) The Participant may use the images for their own portfolio and personal social media, with credit to the photographer, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
5.Assumption of Risk
You understand that a working photography studio involves inherent risks — lighting and electrical equipment, stands, cables, backdrops, props, sets, costumes, and moving around on the floor. You voluntarily accept these risks and enter and use the studio at your own risk.
6.Release of Liability
You release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, and causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage to you or your property occurring while on the premises. You agree that you will not sue or make any claim against the Released Parties for any such injury, loss, or damage. This release covers ordinary negligence and does not extend to liability that cannot be released under California law (see Section 9).
7.Responsibility for Damage
You are responsible for any damage to the studio premises, equipment, props, or sets caused by you or by anyone you bring to the session, beyond normal wear from ordinary use. You agree to reimburse GRAYCARD for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of anything so damaged, lost, or stolen.
8.Waiver of Subrogation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive — and shall cause any insurer of yours to waive — any right of subrogation against the Released Parties for any loss or damage that is or could be covered by insurance. This waiver survives the session.
9.Governing Law — California
These terms are governed by California law. Under California Civil Code § 1668, no release can excuse a party from liability for its own fraud, willful injury, or violation of law, and California courts do not enforce releases for gross negligence. Nothing here waives any such liability of the Released Parties, or any right that cannot be waived by law. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
10.Age & Minors
You certify that you are 18 years of age or older. If the session is for a minor, or a minor will be photographed or present, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms on the minor’s behalf and must be present throughout the session.
